Twitter: President’s Thumb Could Explode

Twitter announced that it's testing out raising the character count from 140 to 280.  If you're mathing, that's a 100% increase!  Some are excited and some think this is excessive.  Here is what I think about it...

I tweet on occasion, and I welcome an increase because those characters run out real fast.  With that said, a 100% increase is too much.  Bring it up to an even 200 and call it a day.  Nobody needs 280...I'm looking at you Prez...

It's no secret that President Trump likes to tweet pretty much everything.  His thoughts on celebs, current events, national policy, and acts of war are a few of his favorite things to put into the Twitterverse.  Raising the limit to 280 could actually be detrimental to life on this planet.

All jokes aside, I look at this like cell phone calls on airplanes.  It seems like it would be a good idea, but then you realize it's just too loud.  I'm already annoyed with half the stuff I see at 140 characters, raising it will just make it worse.  Keep it brief people, nobody wants to read your War and Peace.
