Before the Buffalo Bills would go on to lose in the NFL playoffs, one of the greatest players in the team's history shared some very sad news.

On Sunday, Thurman Thomas shared the news that his mother lost her battle against cancer.

Thomas, who grew up in Houston, Texas, and join the Buffalo Bills in 1988 after he was drafted in the second round of the 1988 NFL draft. Even after his playing career ended, Thurman and his family made Western New York his home and continue to help out the community in many different ways through his foundation, which he started in 1992.

As for the Buffalo Bills, they will now look to next season. There are several players who might have played their final game in a Bills uniform. They will also look at the coaching staff as Ken Dorsey has interviewed for a head coaching job. Some big changes could be coming to One Bills Drive.
