Fans who were hoping to see planes high over the Niagara Air Force base this summer will be disappointed as officials with the Air Force Reserve announced that this year's "Thunder Of Niagara" air show has been canceled.

Thunder Of Niagara Air Show Canceled For 2026

In an announcement earlier this week, officials with the Air Force Reserve, who are housed at the Niagara Falls air base, announced that, due to a lack of resources. The air show for this year has been canceled.

"After reviewing the situation and the resources available to us it became clear that we would not be able to produce an air show that meets the standard our community expects and deserves. While we are disappointed with this option, we are already beginning active planning for a potential future return of the Thunder of Niagara Air Show."

The ongoing war in Iran and other operations around the world have used much of the resources that were needed to carry out the air show.

The show was expected to run June 20th and 21st this year. Officials with the Air Force Reserve said they are working on bringing back the air show in the future.
