I did this last year with my wife Elizabeth, and it was so much fun. You just get your tickets online before the event "sells out," and then you can enjoy everything the zoo has to offer for free.

The dates for this year's Third Thursdays at the Buffalo Zoo are:

• Thursday, September 17
• Thursday, October 15
• Thursday, November 19
• Thursday, December 17

Tickets for Third Thursdays will become available to claim online at 10 am on the Monday of the week of the Third Thursdays.
