Burgers might not be the first thing that pops into your mind when someone mentions Taste Bistro and Coffee House in East Aurora. For years, they were known for amazing coffee first and food second. About 7 years ago, new owners came in and took the food side of Taste to the next level while still delivering on the amazing coffee drinks that had been served for years.

My wife Elizabeth and I had a chance to do a little Tuesday Date night, and we headed out to Taste Bistro for dinner. Of course, we already knew about the coffee and desserts, but it was the entrees that really hit it out of the ballpark for us. My wife got the chicken ceaser wrap, which was amazing. The portions were huge, the taste was awesome, and the way it was cooked was perfect.

I am a simple burger guy. I ordered a simple bacon and cheese smash burger, and I am here to tell you it was the best smash burger I have ever had in New York. From the roll to their homemade smash sauce, the burger was amazing. The meat was nice and juicy, the cheese perfectly melted, and the bacon perfectly crisp.

We both decided to have desserts too. I had a brownie, and my wife had the apple pie. Both homemade and delicious. Since it was at night, we skipped the coffee and decided to go with a hot chocolate and a peppermint steamer. The drinks were the perfect addition to a great meal.
