The very last line of Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters is “That isn’t terrible at all,” dialogue that can only be interpreted as a final nod to a fanbase that has worked itself into a lather fretting about this reboot’s tone, special effects, and particularly its female-centric cast. It feels sort of like when the doctor gives you a pep talk after a shot you’ve been dreading: That wasn’t so bad now, was it?

Last fall we learned that Sony is plotting an animated Ghostbusters project separate from Paul Feig’s upcoming movie — similar to the studio’s plans for an animated Spider-Man movie that will exist separate from their reboot collaboration with Marvel. Franchise wizards Phil Lord and Chris Miller have been attached to the animated Spidey project for a while, and it appears that Sony has finally secured a director for the animated Ghostbusters film, which also reminds us that Sony is working on an animated Ghostbusters film.

So far, all of the surviving original Ghostbusters cast members — Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts — have returned to make cameo appearances in the upcoming reboot. Everyone, that is, expect Rick Moranis. The actor who played Louis Tully in Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II mostly retired from the public eye and hasn’t acted in a live-action feature since 1997, but revealed that he was approached to return for the Ghostbusters reboot and he swiftly turned them down.

There’s one reason and one reason only why we’re getting a Ghostbusters remake in 2016 instead of an actual Ghostbusters 3 five years ago. That reason is named Bill Murray and he’s been the not-so-secret sequel roadblock for as long as we can remember. Ghostbusters is currently filming in Boston, but aside from the occasional paparazzi photo, we haven’t seen anything official from the upcoming reboot. That all changed today as director Paul Feig tweeted out a photo of the new costumes that will be worn by the leading ladies, and they look pretty great.
