Behind the scenes of a dj

Well I've been DJing since I was 14 and was producing mixes by age 16, but, does that matter today? Will people actually consider this Florida third-grader to be talented or is it the advanced technology? It actually takes years and years of practice to get to a point of putting records together with flow and precision.
