Is Stefon Diggs Biggest Sports Villain In Buffalo?

The breakup between Stefon Diggs and Bills Mafia has been a tough one.

It is gotten really chippy with many members of Bills Mafia taking a shot at Diggs after he liked a tweet that threw Bills Mafia under the bus.

So is Diggs the biggest sports villain in Buffalo?

A couple of years ago, during March Madness, we took to social media and asked Western New York which sports they hated the most.

It wasn't a big shock that the final two came down to Tom Brady and former Sabres' star Jack Eichel, with Tom Brady pulling out the win.

So if we start there, is Diggs worse for Buffalo sports than Tom Brady? Sure the breakup is fresh and our hearts are hurting, but Brady tormented Bills Mafia for 20 + years!!

Jack Eichel was supposed to save the Sabres franchise, but he left for Vegas, and won a Stanley Cup while the Sabres extended their playoff drought to 13 years.

Is Diggs worse than Eichel?

The answer to those two questions is no way. Diggs was a star player during his 4 years in Buffalo and while he hoped he would take the team to the Super Bowl, it is more about Josh Allen leading this team, not Diggs.

Now if Allen demanded a trade and won a Super Bowl in Houston, he would alone be the biggest villain in Buffalo sports history, but that is not what happened.

Sure it hurts now and it will hurt during the season, but in a year or two we will look back on Diggs with happiness for the four years he played in Buffalo.

No one will ever look at Brady or Eichel with fondness here in Western New York.
