Several Inches Of Snow For New York State
A dry start to our Tuesday won't last long, as rain and snow will move into parts of New York State this afternoon and evening.
Western New York Weather
Things will start out dry on Tuesday in Western New York before rain and wind move into the region around 11 am. The snow is set to move in tonight and overnight, with up to 3 inches of snow possible for the higher elevations. Most of Western New York will get at least a dusting of snow overnight and that means you could be waking up to snow covered lawns and cars on Wednesday.
Central/Northern New York Weather
Downstate/New York City Weather
It won't be as cold near New York City as it is near Buffalo and Watertown, but this latest weather front will bring plenty of rain and gusty winds. There is a chance of afternoon thunderstorms today, with wind gusts as high as 41 miles per hour. The rain will move out of the area on Wednesday, but it will still remain very windy.
Good Weather News
The good news is that this latest winter weather system is moving to the east pretty quickly and we should have above-average temperatures across the state starting on Thursday and heading into Easter weekend.
