Gardeners Will Love This At The Buffalo And Erie County Libraries
Spring is officially here and even though Mother Nature isn't cooperating, now is the time to start getting ready to plant your flowers and vegetables.
But what if you are new (Like I Am) to the world of gardening? You can get some help from the Buffalo and Erie County Libraries.

Besides taking out some books about gardening you can also borrow some seeds to get you started.
That's right, the Buffalo and Erie County Library system offers several "Seed Libraries" where you can take some seeds and drop some off.
My wife and I had a chance to check out the "Seed Libraries" at the Downtown library and the one in Hamburg. Each was stocked with different kinds of seeds.

It works on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can come and take some seeds that are already pre-packaged and use them for your home garden.
EXTRA: WATCH FREE MOVIES ONLINE FROM YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY
The idea is that when you get seeds from your veggies and plants you can take them back to the library and they will be added to the mix.
It is a great way to get started and of course, if you have no idea what you are doing, there are plenty of books that are available to help with your gardening questions as well.

Seeds are not the only thing you can borrow this spring as well. In certain libraries, kids can borrow basketball or soccer balls, tennis rackets, and other outdoor toys to help them get some time outside.
