This morning several New Yorkers are waking up a lot richer than they were yesterday morning.

The 3rd largest jackpot in Powerball history was up for grabs on Saturday Night. The grand prize jackpot was $1.42 billion dollars.

The bad news is that no one claimed the grand prize jackpot. The good news is that there were several "Big Money" winners in New York.

According to the New York State Lottery, there were 8 "Big Money" winning lottery tickets sold in New York State.

6 of those winners matched 4 out of 5 numbers and had the Powerball number. Each one of those tickets won $50,000.

The other two tickets also matched 4 out of 5 numbers and the Powerball number but they also had the Powerplay which was "Times 3" so those two tickets won $150,000 each.
