Most of New York State is in the viewing area of the rocket's takeoff pattern and it should be visible to the naked eye for most New Yorkers. You will need to look South at night to try and see the rocket.

Of course, things like weather and mechanical failures can lead to the Rocket not being launched or your ability to see it being hampered.

Looking at the weather today, most of New York will have a mix of clouds and clear skies tonight so that should help.

You can follow along with Rocket Labs' live camera feed HERE.

This rocket won't be the only thing visible in the night sky this week in New York State.

Parts of the state will have a chance to see the International Space Station zoom across the sky this week and until the end of the month.

The ISS will pass over New York several times this week with some viewing moments lasting a couple of minutes. You can check out the ISS schedule HERE.

If you snap any photos of the rockets of the International Space Station, send them our way HERE.
