Massive Store Just Closed In The Walden Galleria
One of the biggest malls in the country, the Walden Galleria here in Buffalo, (aka “The Galleria” to locals) is already stocked with a ton of popular stores; from favorites Macy’s and Old Navy to high-end retailers like Michael Kors and Anthropologie.
It also boasts lots of places to eat in their “restaurant row,” as well as popular entertainment destinations like Billy Beez, Dave & Busters, and Urban Air Adventure Park.

A few years ago, when Premier Gourmet opened a massive new 5,300 square foot location inside the Galleria, fans of the mall were thrilled. The Walden Galleria officially had everything you could want as a shopper.
The high-end grocery store, known for carrying a massive selection of craft beer, gourmet foods, fresh-roasted coffees, and local Buffalo-themed gifts, has a lot of fans in the Buffalo area. Admittingly, a lot of the items carried in Premier Gourmet are pretty pricey, but that just adds to its boujee appeal.

Sadly for lovers of Buffalo's Premier Gourmet, their Walden Galleria location just wasn’t meant to be.
Premier Gourmet Closes At Walden Galleria
Bye bye, Premier Gourmet. It feels like you just got here!
A sign hung up at the former Premier Gourmet location inside the Galleria (across from H&M) reveals that the retailer is moving all of their operations to their original location on Maple Road in Amherst.
Premier Gourmet president Mark Notarius told Buffalo Business First that the Galleria didn’t renew the store’s lease, and that another tenant will be moving into their former space.
“We’re currently going to focus on our main store and will always consider another opportunity if it presents itself.” - Mark Notarius, Premier Gourmet president
What a bummer for fans of the fancy store! At least we know we can still buy our expensive meats and cheeses in Amherst, and maybe we’ll see another Premier Gourmet pop up in the near future.
In the meantime, we wouldn’t mind seeing one of these stores take over the empty space…
