“Big Money” Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In New York

One Powerball lottery player in New York is very happy. The New York State Lottery announced that there was one "Big Money" winning Powerball ticket sold in New York from Monday's drawing.

One 3rd place winning Powerball ticket was sold in New York from Monday's drawing. That ticket matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball to win the 3rd place prize of $50,000.

There were also 8 4th-place winning tickets sold in New York. Those tickets matched four out of five numbers but missed out on the Powerball number. Those tickets won at least $100 each, with one of those tickets taking home $200 because it had the Powerplay, which was double the prize amount.

On top of those winners, there were 27 5th-place winning tickets sold from last night's drawing as well. Those tickets matched three out of five numbers and also had the Powerball to win the 5th place prize of $100.
