2nd Place Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In New York State

Wednesday's Powerball drawing turned one lucky lottery player in New York State into a Millionaire.

The New York State Lottery announced that one 2nd place winning Powerball ticket was sold in New York from last night's drawing.

Powerball Winners In New York State

There were two 2nd-place winning tickets sold from Wednesday's Powerball drawing. One ticket was sold in Maryland and the other in New York State.

New York's winning ticket was sold at Krupa Cards Shop in Brooklyn. That ticket matched all five numbers but missed the Powerball number to win the $1 million dollar 2nd place prize.

There was also one 3rd place "Big Money" winning ticket sold in New York as well. That ticket matched four out of five numbers and had the Powerball number to win $50,000.

On top of those winners, there were also 62 4th and 5th place winning tickets sold in New York State. 3 of those tickets also had the Powerplay, which was 10x the winning amount, meaning those tickets won $1000.

The winning numbers from last night's Powerball drawing were: 5-17-23-35-45 with a Powerball number of 24.

Did Anyone Win Last Night's Powerball?

While there were two 2nd-place winning tickets, there were no grand prize winning tickets sold from Wednesday's drawing. That means the jackpot for Saturday's drawing is now up to $44 million dollars.

The Powerball is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday night at 11 pm.
