Six “Big Money” Winning Powerball Tickets Sold In New York State

Saturday's Powerball drawing made not one, not two, not even three lottery players happy. It made at least six Powerplay players in New York very happy.

Powerball Winners In New York State

The New York State Lottery announced that there were six "Big Money" winning Powerball tickets sold in New York State from last night's drawing.

Those six tickets matched four out of five numbers and won the 3rd-place prize of $50,000.

There were also 49 4th-place winning Powerplay tickets sold in New York. Those tickets matched four out of five numbers but missed the Powerball. 38 of those tickets won $100 while the other 11 had the Powerplay and won $200.

There were also 143 5th-place winning Powerball tickets sold in New York State from Saturday's Drawing. Those tickets matched three out of five numbers and also had the Powerball number. 119 of those tickets won $100, while the other 22 had the Powerplay and won $200.

Here were the winning Powerball numbers from Saturday night: 7-14-23-24-60 with a Powerball number of 14.

Did Anyone Claim the New York Record Setting Powerball Jackpot?

There was no grand prize winner from Saturday's Powerball drawing. There was one 2nd-place million-dollar ticket sold in Illinois.

Since no one claimed the grand prize on Saturday, the jackpot is now up to $501 million dollars. The next Powerball drawing is on Monday, August 11.
