Several “Big Money” Powerball Winners In New York

The first Powerball drawing of April was a very good one for lottery players in New York State.

The New York State Lottery announced that there were two "Big Money" winning tickets sold in New York from Wednesday's Powerball drawing. Those tickets matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball. They each won the 3rd place prize of $50,000.

There were also 8 4th-place winning Powerball tickets sold in New York as well. Those tickets matched four out of five numbers and won at least $100.

Wednesday's winning Powerball numbers were 5-17-41-64-69 with a Powerball of 01.

There was no grand prize winner from last night's Powerball drawing. The jackpot for the next drawing on Saturday is now up to $47 million dollars.

The Powerball is played every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
