No Snow November In Western New York?
We are getting really close to the historical first date when we see measurable snow in Western New York, but if you are not a snow person, this might be good news.
Normally, we have our first "normal" snowfall of the winter around November 8th. While some weather models are calling for snow a little past that date, one model is calling for a snowless November in Western New York.
No Snow November In Western New York
Many men in Western New York will participate in "No Shave November," but it looks like Mother Nature might pull a "No Snow November" here in the 716. I took a look at the AccuWeather 30-day forecast for Western New York, and while it will be cold on certain days, and there will be precipitation on others, the two worlds don't collide to cause any snow.
When it is cold, there is no chance of rain, and when there is a chance of rain, the temperatures stay above freezing, so there isn't a chance of snow. Of course, we could see flakes on those days, but nothing is likely to stick to the ground.
The best chance for snow would be on the 29th, when the high temperature is 42 degrees with the low near 36. A little wobble towards the cold could turn that predicted rain into snow.

The first snow, according to this outlook, would be on December 6th, when our low temperature drops below freezing and hits 25 degrees.
