
New York Bracing For Several Inches Of Snow
Hopefully you didn't pack away your snow shovels just yet. It looks like Old Man Winter is hanging out a little bit longer and is going to blast parts of New York State with some snow.
While it is not unusual for it to snow in April in New York, the amount of snow is a bit different from the norm. A cold front is set to bring several inches of snow to the Western part of New York State.
The storm is set to move into the area late on Sunday and bring snow with it over the next couple of days. The hardest hit areas will be the Eastern part of the Southern Tier.
There is not total agreement between the US and European weather models on how much snow is expected, with the European model calling for more than the US one. Both models are calling for "shoveable" amounts of snow for the start of the week.
It has snowed at least once in the month of April in Buffalo, New York, for the past 141 years, and now it looks like that streak will increase to 142 after this latest storm system.
