New Warm Weather Record Set In Buffalo, New York

It is hard to imagine setting a warm weather record in Buffalo in December but that is exactly what happened yesterday.

A massive storm front moved through the region bringing lots of wind and a dramatic drop in temperature, but before that happened Buffalo hit a high temperature of 52 degrees.

It happened really early in the morning around 2 am but it still counted and because we broke 50 degrees, a new record was set in Buffalo.

2024 will go down as the year that had the most calendar days with a temperature of 50 degrees or more.

In 2024, there were 253 days when the high temperature reached over 50 degrees. Yesterday was 253th day and that broke the old record of 252 which was set back in 1946.
