
More “Big Money” Powerball Winners In New York
The month of March continued the same way as February ended with a couple more "Big Money" Powerball winners.
The winning streak continued on Saturday as there has been at least one "Big Money" winning ticket sold in New York from the Powerball drawing since February 5th.
According to the New York State Lottery, there were two "Big Money" winning tickets sold in New York from Saturday's drawing.
A "Big Money" winner is considered any lottery ticket that wins $10,000 or more.
On Saturday, two tickets matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball number to win the 3rd place prize of $50,000.
The odds of winning the 3rd place prize with the Powerball are 1 in 913,129.18

Here are the winning numbers from Saturday's Powerball drawing: 2-23-36-44-49 with a Powerball number of 25.
No one claimed the jackpot from Saturday's drawing so the jackpot for Monday's drawings now to $279 million dollars.
The Powerball drawing is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday night at 10:59 pm.
Regular Powerball tickets are $2 per ticket and Powerball tickets with the "Powerplay" are $3 per ticket. The "Powerplay" allows the winning ticket to double, triple, quadruple, or even increase the amount of the winning prize amount by 5 times.

Prizes worth less than $600
You can stop by any licensed New York Lottery retail location, Customer Service Center, Prize Claim Center with you winning ticket or you can claim the prize through the mail.
Prizes worth more than $600
If your prize is $600 or more, you can claim it at any New York Lottery Customer Service Center, Prize Claim Center or by mail.
To redeem your prize of $600 or more, you will need to provide:
- Your winning ticket
- A filled-out Winner Claim Form (download below)
- A valid government-issued ID
- A valid Social Security Number or FEIN
