$1 Million Dollar Powerball Winner In New York

There are some very happy lottery players in New York State this morning.

While no one claimed the grand prize jackpot from Monday Night's Powerball drawing, there were six "Big Money" winning tickets sold in across New York State.

The New York State Lottery announced that one ticket matched all five numbers but missed the Powerball so it took home the 2nd place prize of $1 million dollars.

That winning ticket was sold at Smokes 4 Less in Newburgh, New York. There were five other 3rd-place winning tickets sold in New York as well. Each one of those tickets matched four out of five tickets and also had the Powerball number.

The 3rd place prize is $50,000.

Monday Night's Powerball numbers were: 7-11-19-53-68 with a Powerball number of 23

Since no one won the grand prize, the jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball is now up to $865 million dollars.
