Merry Christmas From Cheryl And Family!

Christmas morning...  wake up, get moving!  It doesn't matter whether you baked all the cookies, finished the Christmas cards or got that last gift - and got it wrapped!  (Just for the record, I didn't finish the cookies or the cards!)  Today is Christmas...  and how I love to celebrate with family... 

We have rules in my house about Christmas morning.  NO ONE goes down stairs until we are all ready.  We head down to the tree together.  First off, Baby Jesus is put in the manger, and then, one present at a time, we unwrap gifts.  Everyone has to wait their turn, and we all take turns.  The kids seem to enjoy watching everyone else as much as they do unwrapping their own.  When they were little, we used to have a cake and sing Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus.  Now, breakfast is usually cheerios and bagels.  Christmas Day involves a family gathering with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, and usually some board games.  My son, Ryan's favorite is Monopoly.  My daughter, Jen prefers to just hang out.  We also play Skip-Bo, Scrabble, and whatever else anyone suggests!  A stress free day... full of family, laughs and love... and guess what, nobody noticed I didn't finish the baking either!  Merry Christmas from my family to yours, and God Bless you  in the New Year to come!
