Tomorrow, you will have a chance to try something new at McDonald's across New York State.

This is the first time since 2021 that McDonald's has added a new permanent item to its menu.

What New Item Is McDonald's Adding To Its Menu

Starting on Monday, May 5th, 2025, you will be able to order McCrispy Chicken Strips. The all-white chicken tenders are coated in a crispy, golden brown breading and are the chain's planned extension in the world of chicken.

The chicken strips were pulled from McDonald's menu back 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic as the restaurant chain tried to streamline its products. Now, after being gone for five years, they will return to the menu along with a new Creamy Chili dip.

When Will I Be Able To Get The McCrispy strips?

The chicken strips will appear on the menu on Monday, May 5th, and they will be available during lunch and dinner time. The McChicken Strips will come in packs of three or four and will also be sold in combo meals with French fries and a drink.

Why Are The McCrispy Chicken Strips Coming Back?

According to officials with McDonald's, the reason is that customers of McDonald's wanted them back.

“The demand for chicken strips has been remarkable to see across the industry, so we knew we had to deliver something so craveable that it was worth the wait. We took our time, listened to our fans and created a product we knew they would crave,” Alyssa Buetikofer, chief marketing and customer experience officer at McDonald’s, said in a press release.
