Another brand of cat food is being recalled due to possible contamination with bird flu.

One cat in New York and one in Colorado got sick after consuming the cat food and that is what triggered the recall.

If you are a cat owner like I am, you should double-check your cat food before you load up your fur baby with another round of food.

The USDA issued the recall over this past weekend. The recall affects Savage Pet food chicken boxes. So far the company has recalled 66 of the large 84oz chicken boxes and 74 of the smaller 21 oz chicken boxes.

Savage Pet food sold and disturbed the recalled chicken boxes to several states including New York State.

The boxes were also sold and distributed to retailers in California, Colorado, Pennsylvania,, and Washington.

The recalled chicken boxes from Savage Pet food have an expiration date of Nov. 15, 2026.

This is the fourth pet food recall due to possible bird flu. The other three pet food products recalled were from Wild Coast Raw, Northwest Naturals, and Morach Raw Pet Wood.
