Popular TV News Anchor Leaving Western New York
According to a post on social media, Jordan Norkus, who is an afternoon anchor on WIVB Channel 4, is set to leave the Queen City. She posted that she is set to move away from TV in Buffalo after 5 years on the air. Her last day will be this Friday, April 17th.
Channel 4 has not made an announcement on who will fill in for Norkus on the 4 and 7 newscasts after her departure on Friday.
Channel 4 Announced Permanent Morning Show Co-Anchor
This is not the only big change that took place at Channel 4 in 2026. The TV station announced back in February that it had promoted Sarah Minkewicz from fill-in morning show co-anchor to the job permanently. She had been filling in since Ali Touhey left in late 2025 to spend more time with her family.
Trina Catterson was named the weekend morning news anchor, taking over that role from Minkewicz in late March. She has been a reporter and fill-in anchor since joining WIVB Channel 4.
