
More Changes To Local TV In Western New York
Another change is coming to the local television landscape in Western New York as another popular personality is leaving the area.
WGRZ Meteorologist Leaving Western New York
According to a post on her social media, WGRZ evening meteorologist Jennifer Stanonis will be leaving Western New York. She stated that Friday would be her last day on air. She didn't announce where she would be headed next, but alluded to a new job, which she will share details about soon.
Stanonis has been in the Buffalo TV market since 2005. She started as a reporter and weather anchor with WKBW Channel 7. She was there from 2005 until 2012. In 2012, she left WKBW and moved over to WGRZ where she has been for the past 14 years.
No word yet on who will cover the weekday evening weather forecasts for WGRZ.

Stanonis is the second TV personality to announce they are leaving the area in the past couple of weeks. Jordan Norkis, who was an anchor at WIVB Channel 4 left the region a couple of weeks ago.
Norkus has not yet announced if she has landed a new job yet.
