The Buffalo Bills officially kicked off the new season with OTAs this week, and there were only two players not at practice.

The first was Joey Bosa, who is already hurt, and that is a different rant for another time, and the other was James Cook.

Cook is in the final year of his contract and wants a new deal, so he decided to skip OTAs this summer.

I have three words for Mr. Cook: GET TO WORK

Yes - You have outperformed your rookie contract
Yes - You deserve a raise
Yes - You are a huge part of the Bills' offense

But remember, you signed the deal back in 2022. What would you want the Bills to do if you didn't play well? Would you want them to demand money back from you?

That is the point of the contract. You signed it, took the money, and played well. You should get a huge deal when this current contract is over.

I know that means that you might have to move on from the Buffalo Bills, which I don't want to see, but I understand the business. You only have so many years to get a paycheck. But you should still honor the contract you signed.

Not showing up when all the other healthy players did showed a lack of respect for the year. You are putting yourself over the team. If you were a free agent looking for a big pay day, that is one thing, but you are still under contract.

So please, Mr Cook, GET TO WORK.
