Today Is Jackie Walker’s Last Day At Channel 4
Today will be the last day you will see long-time news anchor Jackie Walker behind the news desk on Channel 4.
Last month, Walker announced she would be leaving the anchor desk at Channe 4 after 40 years.
Tonight's 6 pm newscast will be the final newscast for Walker before she steps away from daily anchoring duties. She won't be leaving the station completely. According to the post on "X", formerly Twitter, Walker will still conduct interviews, host special projects, and work on community activities.

She has won several Emmys during her career and was inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2011.

Walker joined WIVB in 1983 after spending time working in television in Rochester, New York, and Springfield, Illinois.
