As the hometown Buffalo Bills get ready for thier NFL Week Fourteen matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, a lot has happened to the team since victory in Pittsburgh against the Steelers.

Not only has the team had to make some moves to try and shore up the defensive secondary, some of which have gone good for the Bills and others that were not so good for the team, now a couple of players are dealing with some additional disciple from the NFL which is going to make their pocketbooks a little bit lighter than it was last week.

NFL's Gameday Accountability Team Handed Out Fines For Week Thirteen

Every week during the NFL season, league officials review every play that happened during every game that week.

During week Thirteen, more than 2,500 plays happened during the week. Now, some of those plays resulted in violations of league rules. When that happens, the officials on the field will issue a penalty against the player and/or the team. However, they don't catch all of them, and that's where the weekly accountability process comes in.

Officials spend time reviewing the 2,518 plays from week thirteen and then decide if any financial penalties need to be assessed. This week, they issued 29 fines to players who officials felt broke the league's rules.

In the list of players fined, two Bills had some cash snatched from their paychecks this week.

AJ Epenesa & Gabe Davis Hit With NFL Fines After Pittsburgh Game

In the third quarter of the game, AJ Epenesa was penalized on the field for Unsportsmanlike Conduct against Steelers QB Mason Rudolph. Because of the type of penalty, the NFL decided to hit Epenesa with an $11,593 fine for taunting.

Epenesa wasn't the only Bill hit with a fine, as Gabe Davis also had cash withdrawn from his paycheck this week. Just before halftime, Davis was fined $6,500 for unnecessary roughness. After catching a 5-yard pass, Davis was tackled by Pittsburgh's James Pierre. While going down, Davis was charged with using his helmet improperly.

Three Steelers also received a total of four fines for plays they had when playing the Bills, including Payton Wilson, who was fined twice.
