The NFL allows teams that hired a new head coach before the start of the new league year to start 20 days earlier than other teams that didn't hire a new head coach.

The Bills let Sean McDermott go back in January after nine seasons and elevated offensive coordinator Joe Brady to the head coaching role.

Buffalo Bills Offseason Schedule

The Buffalo Bills' offseason will be broken down in three different phases.

April 7th-April 19th - Phase One

A program with activities is limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation only.

April 20th to May 18th - Phase Two

During Phase Two, the NFL allows on-field workouts, drills, and plays with offensive players lining up across from offensive players and defensive players lining up across from defensive players, conducted at a walk-through pace. No live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills are permitted.

There is also a Voluntary Minicamp from April 20th to April 22nd.

May 18th to June 11th - Phase Three

This is where teams can hold OTAs, where the team can practice 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills, but no live contact is allowed.

The Bills will hold their Mandatory Minicamp from June 9th to June 11th.

The players will then have about a month off before they return to St. John Fisher University for training camp.
