This weekend's game could be one of the most pivotal games this season for the Buffalo Bills. Granted, they will tell you that it's just another game on the schedule where they're trying to come out 1-0, but there is a lot at stake for the Buffalo Bills.

What's at stake?

The Bills are taking on the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday. They're the Bills' nemesis and the team that has continually kept the Bills from making it to the Super Bowl. They're the team that almost everyone is saying is the most dangerous in the NFL right now. They're 5-3 and are currently sitting at third place in the AFC West behind the Broncos and the Chargers. The Bills are 5-2 and are in second place in the AFC East behind the Patriots, a position they haven't held in years.

If the Bills can pull off a win in Orchard Park, it could really set the Chiefs back and give the Bills a chance to stay in the race to be at the top of the AFC East. However, a loss will put some distance between the Bills and the Patriots for first place.

The Defense is getting healthier

One of the Bills' biggest problems this year has been their defense. Not only have they been giving up a bunch of points, but they just haven't been healthy. They've seen pivotal players out for just about every game like DaQuan Jones, Ed Oliver, Matt Milano, Terrel Bernard, Taylor Rapp, Damar Hamlin, and even their rookie cornerback Maxwell Hairston.

This week, the Bills will be without Ed Oliver again after tearing his bicep last week against Carolina. However, they've already seen linebackers Milano and Bernard as full participants this week, and Hairston came back last week. With the addition of formerly suspended players Michael Hoecht and Larry Ogunjobi, we should start to see a turnaround for this Bills D.

The Offense will likely be without a huge weapon for Allen

One of the most concerning injuries on the offense this week is Joshua Palmer who has yet to practice since getting injured in Atlanta. While there's still some time to see a turnaround, it's not very promising to see that he's not out there. That's a huge loss for this Bills offense.

However, we did see one player that seems to be on the comeback. Gabe Davis has been officially signed to the practice squad and is no longer listed as "Practice Squad Injured." He was a participant at practice today.
