The Buffalo Sabres opened up the second round of the NHL playoffs with a big win at home against the Montreal Canadians, and during the game, one Sabres defenseman etched his name in the record books.

Bo Byram Ties Buffalo Sabres Playoff Record

That goal tied him for the Buffalo Sabres franchise record for most goals by a defenceman in the playoffs, and he still has at least four more games to play. My thoughts are that he will not only break the record, he will add a lot to it.

Byram is now tied with three other former Buffalo Sabres defenders for the record. They are Mike Ramsey, who scored four playoff goals in 1983; Jason Woolley, who scored 4 in 1999; and Alexei Zhitnik, who also had four playoff goals in 1999.
