Here is a look at what's happening around Western New York for your Wednesday.

1 – Today will be the coldest day of the new year as we are not expected to get into the 20s today. The good news is that we are not expected any snow for much of Western New York. The one problem area will be Chautauqua County which is under A Winter Weather advisory until 7 am tomorrow morning. They could get between 3-6 inches of snow.

2- The Buffalo Bills could be forced to hire a new Offensive coordinator for next season. Two teams have already requested to interview Joe Brady for their head coach openings. The Jets and Jaguars both put in formal requests to interview Brady. Four other teams are also looking for new head coaches, which means Brady could interview with them as well.

3-This is good news for teachers and parents alike. According to the latest data, New York State pays the most of any state in salary for teachers. On average a teacher in New York makes around $84,000 which is the most in the country. That means New York is able to recruit the best of the best. On the flip side, Florida teachers earn the least amount on average, but with no state income state and plenty of sunshine, it might be easier to recruit teachers down there.

As the latest cookie campaign kicks off, the Girl Scouts of America announced that S'Mores and Toast-Yay cookies will be retired after this year, so if one of these flavors is your favorite, you might want to stock up this year.

5 -Dinosaur BBQ in downtown Buffalo is set to close after 11 years. Their lease at their current building is up next month and they plan on closing on February 2nd or whenever the BBQ runs out. The Good news is that they are not leaving the Western New York area, they plan on re-opening at a new location on McKinley Parkway in Hamburg later this Summer.
