Here is a look at the top trending stories in Western New York for Friday.

1 – Lake Effect snow is here in Western New York as some flakes are already flying down in the Southern Tier. There is a lake effect snow warning for Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie counties from 7 am this morning until 7 pm on Monday. That lake effect snow warning is also in place for Erie County including the city of Buffalo starting on Saturday at 7 am through 7 pm on Sunday. Depending on where you live you could see several feet of snow or maybe just an inch or two.

2 – Everything has come together to allow the Buffalo Bills to clinch their 5^th straight AFC East title this weekend. The Miami Dolphins fell to Green Bay yesterday which means the Bills now control their destiny in the AFC East. They would only need to win one of their remaining six games to win the AFC East title. Let’s hope they get it on Sunday Night.

3 – It’s the weekend and there is a lot happening around Western New York. Tomorrow you can hang out with Santa Claus and get a free photo with him at Buffalo Gift Emporium in Tonawanda from 2-4 pm. 4– The Buffalo Sabres will look to kick off a new winning streak as they return to the ice this afternoon. The Sabres were shut out on Wednesday night as they lost to the Wild 1-0. They are back at KeyBank Center as they host Vancouver this afternoon with the puck drop set for 3 pm.
