Key Member Of Team Celebrates 7th Anniversary With Buffalo Bills

After multiple years of mediocracy at One Bills Drive, we've happened upon the anniversary of a key date in Bills history. It didn't seem like it at the time when it happened, but after the last seven years, this has proved to be a key decision by Terry and Kim Pegula, along with Doug Whaley, who was team general manager at the time and has given us some amazing results.

It's safe to say that Buffalo hiring Sean McDermott as its head coach on January 11, 2017, was a great decision by the Bills.

McDermott, who was formerly the defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers, became the 20th head coach in Bills franchise history when he was hired, and the last seven years have proven to be very good for us: McDermott has coached a total 114 for the Bills and has earned a record of 73-41. This gives him a winning percentage of 64%. Those 73 wins solidify McDermott as the 2nd most winningest coach in Bills history, trailing only Marv Levy.

In addition to McDermott having such success with the team, he has also led the team to 4 straight AFC East titles.

After McDermott was hired, he earned an A grade for some of the initial coaching moves he made within a few days of taking the reigns.
