32 People Were Arrested In Niagara County This Week

Police in Niagara County spent the past week arresting people accused of crimes. Niagara County is made up of quite a few cities, towns, and villages, including the City of Lockport, the City of North Tonawanda, the City of Niagara Falls, the Town of Lewiston, the Town of Lockport, the Town of Wheatfield, and the Village of Youngstown.

Police in Niagara County have been busy this week. One of the cases they had to deal with was the arrest of a 24-year-old man accused of sex abuse of a teen. The Niagara County Sheriff's Office arrested Cole Kish, of North Tonawanda, and charged him with one count of Criminal Sexual Act 1st (B felony), Sex Abuse1st (D felony), Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child (D felony) and Criminal Sex Act (E felony), according to The Niagara County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page. An investigation of Kish allegedly was involved with a 15-year-old female. He was taken to the Niagara County Jail.

Best Places says the crime rate in Niagara County is less than the national average. The violent crime rate in the county is 13.8 compared to a national average of 22.7. As for the property crime rate, it is 30.8 in Niagara County, lower than the national average 35.4. Last week, 33 people were arrested for various crimes, including a car chase, in Niagara County.
