The nightlife in Buffalo and Western New York has been struggling a lot lately. Not only are venues disappearing faster than they are opening, but the locations that remain are having a hard time getting people to come in to enjoy themselves. If that wasn't enough, there are several municipalities that are seeking to limit what happens inside Buffalo's nightspots.

These facts apply across the entertainment spectrum, from nightclubs and corner bars to lounges and strip clubs. It's a testament to the sad state of things in Western New York, which has a 4 am last call time and was once storied across the northeast, that we've come to this.

One place in particular has been in the news quite a bit lately.

Pharaoh's Gentlemen's Club, on Aero Drive near the Buffalo Airport in Cheektowaga, has gotten a fair amount of press lately. Most of that has come from the legal battles the club's owner has been dealing with. At the end of last year, Peter Gerace was convicted of multiple crimes, including sex trafficking conspiracy and bribery, and now the club is back in the news after a massive fight resulted in officers from several police agencies needing to come out to break it up.

Video from the fight, which was posted to social media, shows a chaotic scene inside the Buffalo area strip club. With tables, chairs, and fists flying in every direction, some might have thought it was a professional wrestling event, but it was, in fact, a club. The fight, which started inside the club, flowed outside into the parking lot.

According to WIVB-TV, at least two people were arrested as a result of the fracas.

So far, there has not been any information about the cause of the fight.
