According to several reports, some in New York State are concerned that non-stick pans and cooking utensils are dangerous and perhaps New York State should ban them.

As we start the summer routine, there may be some parents who are wondering if the things that they are cooking in are safe for their families.

In a tweet from the NY Post, it was noted that: "NYS lawmakers want to ban nonstick cookware over chemical that feds say isn’t dangerous"

But there are some other arguments and dangers with other types of cooking utensils. Wooden items may also pose a certain risk that some have brought to our attention.

While this was a rare incident, there are some who claim that there are hidden dangers with any type of cooking utensil if not attended to, or used properly.

The summer is about to start and you might be grilling, just be safe and mindful of where you grill and the type of grill that you are using. New York State has some advice and laws already in place for that type of cooking.
