As many are still concerned about price, there are new concerns about the safety of a certain type of egg that is sold in several states. Is Western New York on the list?

The recent price issue with eggs has moved many people to have their own chickens in the backyard. There is a good chance that you, or someone you know, has recently gotten chickens for their own egg supply.

But if not, and you are still buying from the store, beware of the recalls and notices that seem to constantly be in the news.

According to several reports, there is a certain type of egg being sold that now falls under a recall.

ABC is reporting that:...California-based company recalled 1,700,000 dozen organic and cage-free brown eggs, that were sold to restaurants and retailers in Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Washington, and Wyoming".

It does not appear that this particular recall impacts stores here in New York State.

As for the way that we cook those eggs, there are some who are concerned about the non-stick pots and pans that some use.

In recent news, there are some lawmakers that are trying to place a ban on the sale of certain cookware.
