According to a post on "X" from the New York State Thruway, a scary accident happened in a work zone and thankfully, nobody was hurt or killed.

"Earlier this week, a truck entered into an active work zone on the NYS Thruway near exit 48 (Batavia), striking a Thruway attenuator truck. Luckily, no injuries were reported. It's easy - when you see the signs/flashing lights - SLOW DOWN and BE ALERT".

By now, drivers should be aware that there are two seasons in New York State; winter and construction.

During the summer, crews are everywhere. Not only are there constant upgrades to the Thruway, local roads and streets are also being fixed or paved this summer.
