Buffalo is known for having great food. In fact, most visitors to Western New York go out of their way to try the food at local restaurants while they are here because it is unlike anywhere else in the world.

And while we love our local restaurants, there are some chain restaurants in the area that we don’t mind having around because it’s known for having good vibes and special deals. Some of those restaurants include Applebee’s, McDonald’s, Chick-Fil-A, and so many more.

However, there is one restaurant that many people have been wanting to open up a location in Western New York…including one Buffalo Bills player who has been a huge advocate for the restaurant.

Buffalo Bills Player Wants A Raising Cane's In Buffalo, NY

Reid Ferguson is the long-snapper for the Buffalo Bills, and Raising Cane’s is one of his favorite restaurants. Ferguson has made it clear with multiple tweets over the years that he would love a Raising Cane’s location to open up in Buffalo.

Raising Cane’s is known for their chicken tenders, crinkle cut fries, Texas toast, and coleslaw. Right now, the closest location for Raising Cane’s is in Ohio, but there is one that recently opened in New York City.

But wouldn’t it be cool to have one in Buffalo?

Raising Cane's CEO Confirms It's In The Works

Todd Graves, the CEO of Raising Cane’s, responded to one of Ferguson’s tweets back in September, promising that a Buffalo location would open soon.

But where should it open up?

I actually have a few ideas….

Four Possible Locations For Raising Cane's

Considering that all four of the Red Lobster locations announced that they would suddenly be closing around Western New York, and all of their equipment is currently being auctioned off, it sounds like those locations should be considered as potential Raising Cane’s locations.

The following locations could open as a Raising Cane’s:

  • 3701 McKinley Pkwy, Buffalo, NY 14219
  • 4010 Maple Rd, Amherst, NY 14226
  • 7540 Transit Rd, Williamsville, NY 14221
  • 295 E Fairmount Avenue, Lakewood, NY 14750

All of those locations were recently Red Lobster restaurants, but since they are in the process of getting everything out of those places and closing for business, it seems like a perfect opportunity for Raising Cane’s to swoop in and bring the building back to life.

Though if you ask me, the Williamsville location would be top tier. ;)

Reid, think you make it happen?
