
Massive Police Presence Expected Across New York State
There is a massive Police presence that it expected across New York State that residents are being reminded about this week.
We have reached a pivotal time of the year and the winter as we get ready for one of the busiest weekends on the road and in the bars.
This weekend is Super Bowl Sunday and police from Albany to Buffalo will be watching for dangerous drivers.

Starting now, and running through the weekend, New York State Police and other law enforcement will crackdown on dangerous and impaired drivers. Last year, a total of almost 8400 tickets were issued.
In a news release from New York State Governor, Kathy Hochul, it was made clear that those who are drunk or high while driving will be caught.
Governor Hochul said, “We have no tolerance for anyone endangering themselves or others on the road, and I encourage everyone to take the responsible steps necessary to keep our communities safe.”
The Super Bowl features the Philadelphia Eagles against the Kansas City Chiefs. Although millions plan to boycott the Super Bowl for one reason or another, thee will still be many watching and many will be heading to parties. Be safe and plan ahead to have a ride home.
"During the 2024 Super Bowl weekend campaign, law enforcement officers arrested 262 people for impaired driving and issued 8,388 total tickets".
