Veteran's Day is just a few days away, and if you're looking for a way to say thank you to some, a charity is looking for your help.

Here's Your Chance To Say Thank You To A Veteran Or Active Soldier

There is a nonprofit organization called America's Adopt A Soldier that is looking for people to write handwritten letters of gratitude for veterans and active soldiers to thank them for their sacrifice.

Normally, they provide care packages, letters, furniture, and more for service members and their families through donations that they collect. They have a different goal here, though, and that is just to say thank you.

They have a very specific number in mind

They don't want just to provide a couple of letters this year. They're hoping for hundreds of thousands of them.

"This year, the goal is to reach over 300,000, which would allow us to send at least four letters to every Veteran in a Veterans Home or Veterans Hospital as well as to our deployed Service Members."  - Founder Mary Keeser

They believe that over 300,000 letters will give them four letters for every veteran in a veteran's home or hospital and all of our deployed service members too. In the past, they've been able to send over 200,000 and they're trying to up their game this year.

Want to get involved?

If you'd like to write a letter, they're going to be taking them throughout the rest of the year. They'll accept letters through December 31, 2026. They can be sent to:

America's Adopt A Soldier
5240 Port Royal Road, Suite 204
Springfield, VA 22151

They're encouraging everyone from solo individuals to teachers with classrooms and entire businesses to write thank-you notes, create handmade cards, or draw a picture expressing appreciation for the service and sacrifices of veterans and current members.
