Keon Coleman Receives NFL Rookie Of The Week
The Buffalo Bills traded out of the first round of the NFL Draft and people thought they were crazy. They got the guy they wanted, and so far, he's playing well.
On day two of the NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills had the first pick of the second round. After making a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs, and then with the Carolina Panthers, the Bills had traded completely out of the first round.
They knew that they wanted Keon Coleman and they felt pretty good about getting him at the beginning of the second round and that's exactly what they did. Plus, they were able to add a few extra picks later in the draft.
So far this year, Keon has come in and made some big catches for the Bills. He's already racked up 16 catches for over 300 yards of offense through 7 weeks. But probably the most impressive stat he has so far is that he's averaging over 20 yards per reception.
No week was bigger for him though than week 7 against the Tennessee Titans where he totaled over 125 yards receiving on 4 catches. One of those catches was the longest of his career at 57 yards.
His work was awarded by the NFL today as they named him the Rookie of the Week. It's something that no other Buffalo Bills rookie has gotten yet this year. There have only been two other rookies that have earned that honor this year, The Commanders' Jayden Daniels and Braelon Allen from the New York Jets.
