There is something special about being able to give back, and it gets even better when you can give back to Mother Nature. There is a unique way to do exactly that in Western New York State.

The summer is fading away and as we start to see the leaves changing and the cooler mornings arrive, you may also notice that the wildlife in your area is on the move more frequently. Have you ever wondered about the birds and animals that you see around you? That is when Hawk Creek steps in.

Hawk Creek Wildlife Center is located just outside the charming Village of East Aurora, just south of the City of Buffalo. Hawk Creek "Hawk Creek, a non profit founded in 1987, is one of the largest raptor centers in the East that is funded through the generosity of our community. Our donors, volunteers, education programs, symbolic adoption program, grants and Erie County are the life blood of Hawk Creek. Located in East Aurora, New York, the Center houses a diverse, global collection of raptors and wildcats".

I have been a big fan of what the people at Hawk Creek have done and continue to do to educate the public about Mother Nature and her creatures. There are a variety of ways you can help and one of them is donating food, like meat.

There are also some exciting events that will be taking place soon at Hawk Creek. For example, Wild Brews on September 14th and Spooky Safari on October 5th and 6th!
