Sean McDermott just gave his weekly Wednesday press conference and included the injury report for this week.  There was good news and bad news there.

Let's start with the bad news first

They've added another major starter to the injury report heading into this week.  Dion Dawkins has been included on the injury list for the first time this season and will not be practicing today.  When asked what would hold him out, the response was that it was a hamstring injury.

It's never good news when someone is added to the injury report but it makes it worse when it's your starting left tackle.

Also included on the injury report were Austin Johnson with an oblique injury, Khalil Shakir with an ankle injury, and Taylor Rapp who has been in concussion protocol following a hit that he delivered on Sunday night against Ravens' running back Derrick Henry.

Ready for the good news now?

The good news is that two players that we thought the Bills might be without for a much longer period of time will be practicing today.  Both Taron Johnson and Terrel Bernard are included.  They're listed as "limited" for practice and that doesn't mean that they will be cleared to play for this weekend, but it's a promising step for two players who have proven to be major players on that defense.

They will need all the help they can get

The Bills are going to need as many healthy players as possible as they head to Houston to take on a team that is actually getting healthier by the day.  It looks as though one of their star receivers, Tank Dell, will be back this week.

With the suspension of Von Miller, the Bills are going to need every player in that locker room to step up to avoid two losses in a row.
