Damar Hamlin Got A New Tattoo On 1 Year Anniversary

Any Buffalo Bills fan, along with sports fans from around the world, can tell you exactly where they were the moment Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field during Monday Night Football.

It’s hard to believe that it was exactly one year ago that a freak accident sent the safety into cardiac arrest. 

His recovery journey has been one of the most inspiring sports stories of all time, and fans were ecstatic learning that he would be back on the roster this season. 

Damar Hamlin Gets New Tattoo One Year After Cardiac Arrest

A year later, the incident still clearly is on Damar Hamlin’s mind, and he acknowledged the day his life changed with a brand new tattoo.  

According to TMZ, Hamlin visited Miami-based tattoo artist Alexander Brenes for the new ink, which includes his signature heart hand gesture paired with an electrocardiogram. You can see the final result on the shop’s Instagram post below.

Even though we haven’t seen much of Hamlin on the field this season, he is still using his star-power to give back to the community through his Chasing M’s Foundation. The charity, which Hamlin started while he was in college, has raised millions of dollars for youth development programs, as well as hosting toy drives, back-to-school supply drives, and recreational youth camps.

Today, Damar also posted a New Year’s update on the Chasing M’s website, showcasing the many efforts the charity has spearheaded and giving thanks to fans for their support.
