If you are getting married in the next few weeks in New York state, you should make sure everything is buttoned down tight. After all, one of the busiest wedding days of the year is coming up.

This is always a big day for a party, but it only flares up in wedding popularity once in every 6 years. That means the next time that the date occurs in a way that engaged couples look forward to will be in 2030.

Alyssa Olaf is getting married in Gasport, NY on September 21st, and on Tuesday, she found herself scrambling to find a replacement wedding DJ.

Olaf messaged me, explaining that their wedding DJ “backed out last minute.”

While a wedding DJ should adhere to any previously signed agreement, there could be a risk for other weddings on Saturday, Sept. 21st to have last-minute changes, as it is one of the busiest days for a wedding in New York.

The reason so many people want to get married on Saturday, Sept. 21st is mainly because of one popular song: September by Earth, Wind, & Fire

In the song, you may remember the famous opening lines:

“Do you remember

The 21st night of September?”

It’s also a perfect wedding song, and a popular choice by couples, because it describes people being in love and dancing like crazy and making the most of the evening.

Granted, that means photographers, wedding DJs, wedding coordinators, and the local venues will be very busy that day, so keep that in mind at your wedding!
