Buffalo Celebrates Bandits Third Title Win With Massive Rally
When it comes to top notch sports play, we do have some history with this in the Western New York area. Over the years the Bills and Bisons, not you Sabres, have collected quite a few titles and championship nods of the years.
Now, while the last time we saw a NFL title in Buffalo was before the Super Bowl Era, you don't have to go far to experience a championship rally.
That exact thing happened in downtown as the Buffalo Bandits celebrated winning their third consectivue National Lacrosse League Cup in style with a massive party and parade down Perry Street in downtown Buffalo.
With the team riding firetrucks from Canalside down the street to the front of the Ticketmaster Alumni Plaza, players and staff from the seven time NLL Champion Bandits arrived in style as thousands of Buffalonians screamed and cheered for the team.
While final numbers are still pending, there was easily thousands of people all around the KeyBank Center to party, listen to music, eat food, and rock Orange and Black as Bandits players displayed the NLL Cup, with Rax, the Bandettes, and the rest of the team on display.
The Bandits have a lot to be proud of this season in the National Lacrosse League. Not only did the team break the NLL Attendance record, along with beating several MLB and NHL teams in average game attendance, they have appeared in the last 5 NLL Finals, winning three of them.
The team continues to be a shining light in Buffalo sports and if you have not caught the wave, now is the time to grab some team gear and cheer them on for next year as we go for four.
Let's go, Bandits.
